    I finally witness the spark sir it was such a magical moment, the electrical arc was so pure and AWESOME! As I was working this morning and making final adjusting on the disks, then spinning the spindle, a sudden spark of white light (it was in day) flashed on the corner of my eyes. After some testings I even made 14mm length spark, not bad for a beginner. Thanks for all the helps and replies through out the 2 years RIMSTAR! The collectors I did it exactly like you out of 75 wires leaving only a single teeny one did the job. I didn't use 2 strand of 30 gauge copper but fine strands of multiple but in the loop manner as you did in this video. My confidence is 110% back and I'm healthy.

      You can use parts of the cans but you'll need more than just cans. For example, you can make the metal segments from the cans, just make sure to scrape or clean off any coating so that the bare metal is exposed. You can also use the metal from the cans for the metal cylinders for the Leyden jars.

    How would one go about creating a coil for a specific Frequency if only the desired frequency is known? I.E. I need a coil to resonate with 2000 MHz; say for the utilization in wireless energy transfer via coupled inductors? How does one start from just frequency?

    • @RimstarOrg
      @RimstarOrg 8 днів тому

      I'm not sure if this type of coil will work for something at 2000 MHz. It might, but I'm just not sure. For example, here's a single turn coil I once made for something at 300 MHz rimstar.org/equip/oscillator_uhf_1.htm but I got that design from somewhere else. If I were to design a coil for a specific frequency though, then I'd probably use a caclulator. Here are two pages on my website that might help... rimstar.org/science_electronics_projects/lc_circuit_aka_tank_or_resonant_circuit.htm will allow you to play with different parameters to see what capacitance and inductances will give you the frequency you want. Then use this one rimstar.org/science_electronics_projects/coil_design_inductance.htm to some up with a coil that gives the inductance you want. I even have one for designing the capacitor rimstar.org/science_electronics_projects/capacitance_formula_capacitance_calculator.htm . But I haven't tried it myself for 2000 MHz.

    • @khairilamirul391
      @khairilamirul391 5 днів тому

      Voltage IS potential difference. Voltage and Current work hand in hand to kill you. Current is like a gun, while voltage is the guy who pulled the trigger. So which one killed you? The gun or the person?

    • @sornsokheng1955

      If it’s not enough voltage that cannot break our skin, how can current flow through our body? You can see pressure washer that wash car, amount of water(current) that comes out is so small but with high pressure(voltage) it can hurt you.

      Whether you're at sea level or at 3k feet elevation, you're still at ground potential, so 0V. However, the higher up you go, the thinner the atmosphere so I'm guessing there may be fewer ions and so you'd get less charge, less electricity.

    How to calculate the number of wire?

    • @RimstarOrg
      @RimstarOrg 15 днів тому

      Do you mean how to calculate the length of the wire that you need? The circumference of a circle is diameter x pi. So if the diameter of your coil is 4 cm then the length of a single turn of wire is 4 cm x pi or 4 cm x 3.14 = 12.56 cm. Then multiply that by the number of turns. So if you have 90 turns of wire then the total length needed for the coil is 90 x 12.56 cm = 1130.4 cm. Make sure you add some more for the wire leading to the coil.
